This table game can offer one of the highest payout percentages at any casino – but only for those who know how to play! This high RTP is why Royal Crown Blackjack is one of Novomatic’s most popular table games. It’s certainly not the only table game that Novomatic offers, though! At our recommended Novomatic casinos, you can also play: Roulette, Multiball Roulette, Sic Bo, Blackjack and Baccarat. However, perhaps Novomatic is most famous for making sensational slot games! Players from all around the world enjoy journeying to ancient Egypt with Book of Ra and heading underwater with Mermaid’s Pearl and Dolphin’s Peal Deluxe.

Royal Crown Blackjack is Royally Blue

There are certain colours that have always been associated with royalty. Purple is certainly a royal colour for the British monarchy, as is emerald green and royal blue! Royal Crown Blackjack is coloured a lovely shade of royal blue. Both the table and the cards are coloured royal blue. All of the cards, aside from the royal cards, are quite plain and simple. They show the value on the top-left of the card and have two suit symbols (one on the top left, underneath the value, and one on the bottom right). The royal cards, the Jack, Queen and King, are a lot more elaborate. The sketches of the royal figures are beautifully detailed. You can see all of the embroidery on their cloths and their hats, as well as their individual hairs! The sketches on these cards would feel right at home in the Tate Modern, let alone in a Novomatic casino game. The chips look professional and not stacked on the table casually for no reason. The game looks neat and sleek and you’ll really enjoy feeling like a VIP while you play. You can adjust your bet at the bottom of the screen by increasing or decreasing the value of the chips you’re playing with. At the top you can change the screen and sound settings. You can also open the paytable to view the rules of the game by clicking on the ‘Help’ icon.

How to Play Royal Crown Blackjack

Royal Crown Blackjack isn’t too complicated to play. Both you and the dealer will be dealt two cards, one at a time. You can bet on up to three positions, so you might end up with three hands of two cards, if you so please. Your cards are dealt face-up. In contrast, the dealer’s first card is dealt face-up and his second card is dealt face-down. If you get Blackjack, you don’t have to do anything more with that hand! If you don’t get Blackjack but the dealer might have Blackjack, you’ll be offered insurance. You can insure any of your hands if the dealer’s first card is an Ace. Since the aim of Royal Crown Blackjack is to get a hand that adds up to 21 (or as close to 21 as possible), if you don’t have a hand that equals 21, you can carry on playing. Gameplay continues clockwise from the dealer. On your turn, you can choose to ‘Hit’, ‘Stand’, ‘Double’ or ‘Split’. ‘Split’ is only available if you have two cards of equal value and essentially doubles your bet to split one hand into two separate hands – giving you an extra chance to win! If you want another card, choose ‘Hit’. If you’re happy with your total, choose ‘Stand’. If you want to double your bet and get another card, choose ‘Double’. It’s totally your choice what to do each round. There are no rules and no one will be telling you what to do. The dealer, on the other hand, must draw to 16 and must stand on 17. This means, if the dealer has a hand with a value of 16 or less, he must ‘Hit’. If the dealer has a hand equal to 17 or more, he must ‘Stand’ and not draw another card.

Wins and Payouts in Royal Crown Blackjack

To get paid wins in Royal Crown Blackjack, you need to beat the dealer. In this table game, the dealer isn’t a real person. Instead, the dealer is the computer! If you want to Blackjack where the dealer is a real person who you can actually talk to, then why not play Novomatic Live Blackjack? If you go bust or the dealer gets closer to 21 than you, he will win. If you and the dealer get hands of equal value, your bet will be returned to you. This is called a ‘Push’. If the dealer goes bust or if you get closer to 21 than the dealer, then you will win! Blackjack wins pay 3:2. Regular wins pay 2:1. Insurance pays 2:1.
