Take a Trip Downunder with This Novomatic Slot Game

Novomatic takes you down under with this brand-new slot game. There are 243 ways to win in Outback Downunder but down under there are more than 243 ways to die! In fact, Australia is home to hundreds of deadly animals. So, if the heat doesn’t get you, an animal will!

There are poisonous spiders, venomous snakes, scary sea creatures and carnivorous crocodiles! Aside from being scary, the outback is also a very beautiful place, as you can see in this slot game. The sky is blue with only a few clouds dotted about.

The terrain looks dry yet full of life! Who knows what’s lurking in the long grass or the green trees, or even under those rocks! You should be interested in what’s lurking on the reels, however. There’s a whole host of symbols that have the ability to award payouts, give out Free Games and even multiply your wins!

You’ll want to keep your eyes as wide open whilst playing this game as you would walking through the Outback. The Australian Outback covers over 6.5 million square kilometres but of course it’s not the only thing Australia is famous for.

Australia is famous for its kangaroos, the Great Barrier Reef, its surf culture, its beaches, the Sydney Opera House and Vegemite! Novomatic, on the other hand, are famous for making excellent slot games and Outback Downunder most definitely fits the bill.

Overall, there are 5 reels and 3 rows and 243 ways to win. You can, however, play the game with 9 ways to win, 27 ways to win, 81 ways to win or all 243 ways to win. The latter essentially means that every conceivable route across the reels from the left to the right is a payline!

What You’ll Find in the Outback

Australia might be full of lots of wonderful (and terrifying) creatures but they still play cards Downunder! Who doesn’t love playing cards? Slots developers seem to love them and so do players! In Outback Downunder, you’ll find the cards: 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace on the reels. These are the symbols that are most likely to give you payouts as they give the smallest payouts. The coyote and the frill-necked lizard give higher payouts than the card symbols. The symbol that doubles these creatures payouts is the scary crocodile!

Finally, the highest-paying symbol is the Outback expert! He looks like a guy who knows everything about the terrain and the wildlife. He’s definitely the guy you want with you if you get stuck in the Outback overnight. Or maybe not. Perhaps he just likes dressing like that! There’s only one way to find out! Either way, you’ll want to see his face on the reels to get the biggest wins!

The paytable updates with your bet. Each symbol is shown on the paytable with a win amount for x3 matches, x4 matches and x5 matches. In order to get the payouts that are displayed on the paytable, you’ll have to spin the right number of matching symbols.

It doesn’t matter what positions they land on but they have to land on the correct reels. This slot machine pays left to right, so the matching symbols (whether it’s 3, 4 or 5) will need to land on separate, consecutive reels, starting with matching symbol #1 on reel #1 and continuing towards the right.

Get the Party Started Downunder

There’s one party animal symbol and that’s the Wild symbol. This shows a map of Australia and it is capable of filling in for any normal symbol when completing a win. There are two ways to get the party started in Outback Downunder!

One way is to spin three Scatter symbols as this will trigger 10 Free Spins! During these Free Spins, if the Wild symbol stands in for a symbol in a winning combination, it will multiply the win (at random) by x2, x3 or x5. Another way to get the party started is by spinning two Kangaroo road signs on reels #1 and #2 (one on each).

This will hold these two reels in place while the other three reels spin. The 3rd reel will spin first and if lands on a multiplier, the 4th reel will spin and if this also lands on a multiplier, the fifth reel will spin!

The multipliers get bigger and bigger the further you get along the reels. If the feature stops on the third reel, you’ll get a multiplier of x2 or x3. Does it stop on the 4th reel, you’ll get a multiplier of x3 or x5. If, however, you manage to get lucky and get to the fifth reel, you could get a multiplier of x10 or x15 to multiply your win!
